Innovationspreis!
And the Special “Mobility Design” Award goes to… 🥁 ALISA! 🏆
Your feedback at InnoTrans 2026 confirmed that ALISA has created an innovative and user-oriented night train for the future. We are even more delighted that the German Transport Science Society (DVWG) e.V. shares this assessment. But that’s not all: ALISA has been awarded the Special “Mobility Design” Award!
The award recognizes projects with a high degree of innovation and a consistent focus on users. Mobility should be accessible, intuitive and an experience for everyone. The evaluation criteria included functionality, usability, attractiveness, appearance, sustainability and accessibility. The jury was particularly impressed by the way ALISA addresses different travel needs within a limited space. With up to eight different categories, the night train of the future offers an option for everyone: from business, leisure and holiday travelers, whether traveling alone or in groups, to families and people with reduced mobility.

But the sleeper train, with its modular interior, must also be economically viable to operate in the long term. This is where day-and-night operation and permanently coupled three-car units with two levels come into play. These units can be modularly combined by the potential operator according to their individual operating concept.
The award will be presented on 17 November 2026 from 3 p.m. at the Paulskirche in Frankfurt. We are delighted to bring it home together with the DLR Institut für Fahrzeugkonzepte, GETA mbH, Satek GmbH and k + v Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH.
